Block and allow devices

BLOCK AND ALLOW DEVICES

Unknown device?
One tap is enough.

This is how you cut a device off the internet – and allow it again. Free on the PC, from the phone with Guardian – even when your PC is off.

GEYRA
GEYRA is not a single device –
the network itself carries GEYRA.

Requirement: your router is connected and can block devices. Router check shows which routers can.

On the PC or on the phone? On the PC you block and allow devices for free. From the alarm phone – at home and on the go – this only works with Guardian. Without Guardian you see the buttons on the phone, but they are locked.

Block

  1. On the alarm phone – directly from the alarm (with Guardian)

In the alarm tap INTERNET SPERREN (block internet) and confirm with JA, SPERREN (yes, block).

  2. On the alarm phone – any time (with Guardian)

Open the app → GERÄTE IM HEIMNETZ (devices in home network) → at the device INTERNET SPERREN (block internet).

  3. On the PC

Expert view → Protection & system on the left → Devices according to your router → at the device BLOCK INTERNET.

GEYRA only blocks after your confirmation – or according to your own quarantine rule. The device stays in the home network but no longer has internet access.

Allow

  1. On the alarm phone (with Guardian)

Open the app → GERÄTE IM HEIMNETZ (devices in home network) → at the device FREIGEBEN (allow).

  2. On the PC

Devices according to your router → at the device ALLOW and confirm the question.

No silent blocking: If GEYRA disconnects a device itself (quarantine or automatic defence), you always get an alarm on your alarm phone – with Release and Keep blocked.
Device “IN QUARANTINE”? Your quarantine rule did that because the device was new. If it is your own device, simply allow it. After that it will never again be put into quarantine.
Important – mobile data: blocking only works in your home network (Wi-Fi and cable). Phones and tablets with a SIM card still get online via the mobile network. There, also switch off mobile data – on children's phones, for example, via the parental control settings.
Unknown device? Also change your Wi-Fi password. Otherwise an intruder can come back with a new device address.
